Welcome to another great year at West Millbrook Middle School. As a member of the West Millbrook community, I am very excited to get to know all of you, and hopefully you will find Social Studies and U.S. History as engaging as I do. In this course, we will be analyzing the cause and effect relationships of people and events that created our nation into what it is today.

WMMS tardy policy will apply to this classroom. The student is tardy if not in the classroom by the assigned time.
MAKE-UP WORK IF ABSENT:
If a student is absent, it is the STUDENT’s responsibility to obtain the assignments that he/she missed. This information can be found in your student folder or on my website. Students have TWO days to turn in make-up work for every day that the student was absent.

- 5 subject spiral notebook. I would suggest the five-star brand, because it is the most durable!
- Pencils
- Highlighters
- 2 4 packs of glue sticks
- Hand-held pencil sharpener
- Colored pencils

STUDENTS EXPECTIONS:
- Treat everyone and everything with respect
- Follow directions the first time they’re given
- Be on time to class and prepared for daily lessons- bring all materials to class!
- No class disruptions
- No gum or food in class. Water is allowed.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself
- No sleeping in class
- Cell phones and electronic devices turned off and out of sight unless they are allowed for a classroom assignment. If these items are disruptive to the classroom setting, they will be taken from the student and placed at the front office for parent pick-up. (Of course, this includes texting).
